Southport make the long trip home from Norfolk with a hard fought and well deserved point in a game played out in dreadful conditions.

A first clean sheet of the season for The Sandgrounders in a game of few chances but a performance full of grit from an injury hit squad.

Southport’s fans were given few anxious moments the one big moment of concern came when Dylan Dwyer received a yellow card when the home crowd were baying for it to be a red.

As the game became scrappy it looked destined for a 0-0 draw and so it proved as both sides cancelled each other out.
