We welcome George Pickford to Southport on loan from Everton.

George is a Preston-born goalkeeper, who joined Everton at the age of 11.

He signed for the Under-18s as a first-year scholar ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and went on to make 19 league appearances for the young side, as well as debuting for Everton Under-21s.

In May 2024, he featured for England Under-18s in a friendly fixture against Morocco Under-18s.

After a stellar season, Pickford was rewarded with his first professional contract at Everton, signing a two-year deal with the Toffees until June 2026.

Sharing the No.1 shirt with Fraser Barnsley, Pickford made seven Premier League 2 appearances in 2024/25.
