Southport FC Community Foundation is launching a new opportunity for people experiencing forgetfulness or challenges with a loss of memories.

Open to all ages this new friendship group will offer the chance for people to get together, to share stories of times gone by, enjoy listening and singing along to music and join in with traditional games, like dominos, draughts and chess.

The Sandgrounders Memory Cafe will be open from 12 noon to 3pm each Tuesday, commencing on 29 September, at the Volare Lounge, Southport FC Stadium on Haig Avenue. People can pop along at whatever time suits them best and light refreshments and snacks will be provided during the session.

Carers and partners are welcome to attend and join in with the activities as they wish and the Cafe & Activities are being provided free of charge, though participants may give a donation should they wish to help towards the costs of running the sessions.
