Following the SFC Fan Survey, we received several requests for more updates on squad news. Moving forward, we will provide more frequent updates on the current state of the squad, including outgoings, incomings and injuries.
The Boss Jim Bentley has given us the first squad update ahead of tonight’s Isuzu FA Trophy fixture against Peterborough Sports:
Dior Angus is cup-tied, having featured for AFC Telford United in their win over Cleethorpes Town in the first round of the competition. Following FC Halifax Town’s exit from the competition on Saturday, Festus Arthur will now be available for selection this evening.
Danny Lloyd and Jordan Keane have returned to full training after recovering from ankle and calf injuries, respectively. Will Russ has returned from his loan spell at Warrington Rylands but, unfortunately, has picked up an ankle injury. He will require a couple more weeks before returning to action.
Harry Flowers suffered a long-term ruptured Achilles injury in July during our pre-season fixture against Cliftonville F.C. in Belfast. He is making good progress in his recovery and last week completed a rehabilitation program at St George’s Park Rehabilitation Centre.
Josh Williams has returned to Tranmere Rovers following his recent loan spell with us. We would like to thank Josh for his efforts and TRFC for loaning Josh to us. We wish them both all the best for the future.
