Luke Burgess has signed an 18-month contract extension with Southport FC.

After a stellar start to the 2024/25 campaign, Luke has cemented himself as a key man in manager Jim Bentley’s set-up.

Jim Bentley had this to say about Luke’s extension:

“Luke had a slow start to his career at Southport, but from pre-season, he has been very good. I’ve worked with him before at Fylde, and I know that in the right environment, surrounded by the right people, he can thrive—and that’s what he’s doing now. He’s a good lad and a good player. His performances have been good; he’s got some goals and assists, and I’m sure now his future is sorted, he can go from strength to strength.”
