Our Over 70’s Walking Footballers had a superb 4-1 win against Blackpool Seasiders at JMO today.

Hat-Trick hero was Phil Murphy with Steve Thompson getting the other goal.

It was a great overall team performance with a goal after just 18 seconds setting the tone in the first 20 minute period which the Southport side won 3-0. Blackpool pulled a goal back in the seond period to make it 3-1 before a final goal saw the home side come out on top.

We are hoping to make the trip to Blackpool for a return match which was played in a great spirit.

The Neston Over 65’s League with teams from Southport, Neston, Liscard, Hawarden, Northwich and Wrexham taking part starts on October 19th.
