Aaron Minton becomes new Performance Analyst

We’re pleased to welcome Aaron Minton to the Club, as our new Performance Analyst. Aaron joins with a wealth of experience in his field, most recently being the Head of Performance Analysis at AFC Fylde.

Prior to that, Aaron was the Women’s Lead Academy Analyst & Safeguarding Officer at Blackburn Rovers FC. Aaron started his career in Analytics in the 2021/22 season at York City, under the management of John Askey, the same season that the Minstermen won promotion to the National League. Following that, he spent time at Sunderland AFC Academy, supporting the development of their youth players. Notable players that Aaron has overseen the development of include Chris Rigg and Tommy Watson, whom the latter recently scored in the Championship playoff final.

With past roles in Men’s, Women’s and Youth football, Aaron has a plethora of experience that he can bring to Southport and we’re delighted to have him onboard.
