We are on the road to Morpeth Town today for an FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round tie, the kick off is at 3pm.

It will be the third meeting of the sides in the competition with Southport winning a behind closed doors (COVID) game at Haig Ave 2-1 in the 2020/21 season, Niall Watson and George Newell were our scorers that day.

We went down 3-0 at Morpeth in 2023/24 on a day to forget for The Sandgrounders.

We are hoping to bring commentary from the game but have been advised that the commentary position is on a balcony that is not covered so if it is raining we could be struggling. The forecast has improved so fingers crossed we will be ok for the commentary. Audio commentary here
