Unfortunately, in the early hours of Friday morning, the Southport FC Community Foundation Coffee House was targeted in an attempted break-in. While the incident has caused damage and disappointment, we want to reassure supporters that the Coffee House remains at the heart of our community work.
The Coffee House was created to serve two important purposes. Firstly, it brought a previously vacant property back into use, helping to improve the local area. Secondly, and most importantly, every penny of profit generated goes directly back into the community, funding the programmes and activities we deliver for young people and local residents. These funds also help us to develop and launch new projects that support those who need it most.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the Coffee House so far. Whether you’ve popped in for a coffee, purchased a gift or spread the word, your support makes a real difference. It is because of this backing that we are able to continue our work.
To those responsible, we would simply say that actions like this only take away from your own community. The Coffee House exists to give back, not to take.
Despite this setback, our resolve is stronger than ever. This incident has only strengthened our determination to continue growing, supporting our community and creating positive opportunities for the people of Southport.
Thank you for standing with us.
