Manager Neil Danns has now confirmed the Captaincy ahead of the 2025-26 season.

We’re delighted to reveal that Tom Moore will become our Captain, with Danny Lloyd taking up the role of Vice-Captain.

The local duo both had impressive seasons in the last campaign, with Tom Moore winning both the Players’ Player of the Season & Media Player of the Season awards, and Danny Lloyd winning the Leading Goalscorer award.

The captain’s armband will be a familiar feel for Tom Moore, having led Bury FC to the playoff final in 2024, narrowly missing out on penalties to Wythenshawe Town.

Tom Moore said “I am thrilled and honoured to be chosen as Captain by the gaffer for the new season.”

”I’m looking forward to leading the team out to exciting times ahead and hopefully this season will be a positive one for us all. Coming off the back of last season, we as a club and players know that it is not the standard the fans expect.”

Danny Lloyd added “I’m really pleased to be selected as Vice-Captain for the upcoming campaign. I’m really looking forward to supporting Tom as Captain, the gaffer, staff, and all the lads on and off the pitch throughout what’s going to be another incredibly competitive campaign.”
