We can confirm that midfielder Callum Spooner has today returned to Hyde United on a permanent basis.
Callum has made 13 total appearances since joining the club in the summer, including 4 substitute appearances.
Manager Jim Bentley said ‘It hasn’t gone how he’s wanted, he has a big connection with Hyde United playing for his father and playing every minute of last season.
He’s a good player, good person and we didn’t want him to leave, but he made his feelings known a couple of weeks ago and now is at the stage where it’s starting to affect him so we won’t stand in his way. We have agreed to let him move back to his previous club where he will again link up with his dad and hopefully enjoy his football again.
He felt he wanted to go back there and play his football, so he goes with our best wishes.’
