Antony Kay Joins Coaching Team

New First Team Coach announced

We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Antony Kay as First Team Coach. Antony brings with him plenty of experience, having played at many clubs across the country, and most recently managing Runcorn Linnets.

Antony started out his career at hometown club Barnsley, playing a vital role in their promotion to the Championship in 2006 despite his young age, scoring the winning penalty in the play-off final.

Kay would then move to Tranmere Rovers, winning player of the season in 2008/09, before joining Huddersfield and again winning promotion to the Championship in 2012. He would then win promotion out of League 1 for the third time in 2015 with MK Dons before joining Bury in 2016, where he played along-side manager Neil Danns.

Antony would then also play for Port Vale, Chorley, Cymru Premier side Bala Town, and Runcorn Linnets, where he would be named Manager in May 2024.

Overall, Antony adds experience and leadership to our coaching set up and you can see the results of his expertise by purchasing your season tickets here.
