Ben Collins Signs For Southport

We’re excited to announce the signing of young left-back Ben Collins, who joins following his departure from EFL League Two side Salford City.

Ben graduated from Salford City’s Academy into their B Team in the summer of 2022. His first loan move came during the 2023-24 season, where he joined 1874 Northwich. After spending the first half of the season with The Greens, he then joined Clitheroe on loan for a month, of the Northern Premier League – West Division. Whilst spending time out on loan, Ben was also a regular in Salford City’s B Team, playing in the Central League.

In January of this year, Ben signed for Cymru Premier side Flint Town, where he remained for the second half of the season. They would go on to secure their status in their league for the following season.

Despite being just 21, Ben has plenty of experience in men’s football and we look forward to seeing him in action this season.
