We are pleased to announce that current Academy player Renato De Oliveira Gomes has agreed to sign a contract with Southport FC.

Renato joined the Academy programme 18 months ago and has made great progress during this time. He progressed into men’s football last season, playing at Burscough Richmond. He has had a fantastic start to the season at Skelmersdale United, scoring 4 goals.

18-year old Renato is a forward and has already made his debut for the first team, coming on as a substitute against South Shields last Saturday.

We would like to thank both Anthony and everyone at Burscough Richmond, as well as Tommy and everyone at Skelmersdale United for supporting his development.
