Southport Football Club are looking to recruit a number of Events & Hospitality staff to work in the newly refurbished lounges, corporate areas and around the ground.

Role Profile

Job Title: Events & Hospitality
Reports To: Events & Hospitality Manager

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring prompt and excellent guest service.
  • Ensuring that tables are set to the correct standards at all times.
  • Ensuring all facilities are well presented for match-days, events etc…
  • Taking orders (bar/outside catering/boardroom/corporate hospitality).
  • Knowledge of the menu and ability to identify dishes.
  • Serve food and beverage to the guest as per the course of order.
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for the bar, corporate, fans and boardroom patrons.
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences, and make recommendations.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
  • Plan and present bar menu.
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Performing cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.

Knowledge/Experience/Technical Skills

  • Excellent communication and personal presentation.
  • A real passion for the industry and a willingness to learn more about food and beverages.
  • A team player who is able to work within a small team.
  • Being able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent time keeping.
  • Attention to detail and can-do approach.
  • Waitress and bar experience.


  • Catering experience
  • Driving Licence
