Having won the first encounter 3-0 it’s hard to believe that was our first win of the season and we were propping up the table in 22nd place, given the rapid turnaround in our results. That was just a month ago.

That counts for nothing on Saturday. Both sides will be looking for a return to Wembley and the road starts here.

Darlington’s league form has been up and down but they have shown what they can do with the outstanding scoreline being the 3-1 win at Brackley.

Both sides ended the game with ten men with Jack Bainbridge and Luke Charman seeing red very late on in the game.

Wembley seems a long road away but it’s a road we have taken before and one we wouldn’t mind going down again.

We will be bringing Twitter updates from the game with post match comment from manager Liam Watson available Wednesday morning.
