extended their partnership with the club by becoming the new official floodlight sponsor. This exciting new
role underscores Techedia’s ongoing commitment to supporting Southport FC and highlights their dedication
to both the club and the community.
Techedia, a Southport-based provider of bespoke, cost-effective ICT support and software development, has
been a valued partner of Southport Football Club for several years. Previously serving as the club’s official
shirt sponsor, Techedia has now stepped into the spotlight as the sponsor of the floodlights at The Big Help
Stadium.
Techedia’s Managing Director Matthew Townson, a devoted supporter of both Southport Football Club and
the town of Southport, expressed his enthusiasm for the new sponsorship. “After years of sponsoring the
men’s, women’s, and youth team shirts, of which we are very proud, we felt it was time to offer others the
opportunity. However, we could not part with our close ties to the club. The chance to have our name up in
lights – all four floodlights, to be exact – was perfect for both our benefit and the club’s. We believe this new
sponsorship will not only enhance the visibility of our brand but also further strengthen our bond with the club
and the local community.”
