Southport will be looking to continue their strong run of form as they welcome Leamington to the Pure Stadium.

After three straight league wins in a row, as well as a midweek victory in the Liverpool CFA Senior Cup, things are going well for Liam Watson’s side.

This weekend’s opponents, Leamington, haven’t had much luck in terms of games recently, with their last two matches postponed.

Prior to that they were without a win in five league games, picking up only one point during that time.

During that run they suffered a 5-0 defeat to Altrincham, before losing 3-0 to Farsley Celtic the following week.

Meanwhile last time out they were defeated 1-0 by Alfreton.

Whilst they have only scored three fewer goals than the Port, their defence is far worse, conceding ten more.

The Brakes do have one danger man who Watson’s side will need to watch. Josh March has scored eight goals so far this campaign.

When these two met in this fixture last season, it was one to remember for the Port.

Doubles from Brad Bauress and Dion Charles, and one from David Morgan, helped the Port on their way to a 5-1 win.

Meanwhile in the fixture at New Windmill Ground, it was the Brakes who were victorious with a 1-0 win.

After last week’s win over Bradford (Park Avenue) moved Southport into the play-off places, they will look to build on that and produce another three points.
