The Southport FC Smart Hub

Southport FC is very pleased to have joined with UK-based software platform ULNK to introduce technology to Haig Avenue to improve the match day experience for its fans. The new Southport FC Smart Hub, an exciting fan engagement app, will be available for the first time at our home match with Tranmere Rovers tomorrow. It will allow Southport fans to connect with their favourite team like never before.

Try predicting the result and score tomorrow and, post-match, rate the referee!

The ULNK platform is currently live across the biggest clubs in the NIFL Premiership in Northern Ireland and we are delighted to have reached agreement whereby Southport FC is the first British mainland club to roll the system out.

ULNK provides match day technology that unlocks the power of sport to create immersive experiences and transforms the way people experience live sport by delivering stadium wide engagement all in one tap or scan on your phone! Their innovative tech – which supporters can access through their mobile phones – opens up a host of fan-friendly content from match highlights, team news, club merchandise and more including exclusive content.

ULNK founder Simon Steele explained to that he wants this product to conjure up what we would want in a match day experience by allowing fans to interact with the technology as they sit in the stands while also giving exposure to the club’s social media channels as fans get an interactive experience which they haven’t had before.

The partnership will make Haig Avenue the first fully interactive stadium in the country and allow its fans to have access to features that aim to bring them closer to the team than ever before. Additionally, fans will have access to local mental health charities in our area and we will be adding more content to the hub over the coming weeks, let us know what you would like to see.

How to access the Southport FC Smart Hub

Fans will be able to access the hub by approaching a QR code tab inside the ground, these will be located on seats within the stand as well as other places around the ground and within the hospitality areas in Haig Avenue. Just scan the QR code with your mobile phone (every smart phone device should have a QR reader application or simply scan with the camera on your device) and you will have immediate access to this unique Southport FC fan hub on your mobile.
