Southport return from Norfolk on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline. An 81st minute penalty from former Southport player Johnny Margetts gave the home side all three points.
Not the best spectacle for the watching fans seemed to be heading for a 0-0 draw until a foul in the box by Keenan Quansah saw the referee have no hesitation in pointing to the spot.
Chances were at a premium for both sides throughout the 90 minutes. Marcus Carver went closest to scoring for Southport but it was a blank afternoon in front of goal.
