We are now looking to fill the role with a Part-time Commercial Manager joining the team at The Pure Stadium.

Southport Football Club is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to help drive the continued growth of the business.

This role will give you the opportunity to manage the full life cycle of sales including; lead generation, relationship management and networking with clients, requirements gathering, negotiation and closing and full account management with existing and new clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work Location – Southport FC, Haig Avenue, Southport, PR8 6JZ.

Post Title – Part-time Commercial Manager

Remuneration – Competitive

Reporting to – Chairman

Hours of Work – Negotiable

AIM AND PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The main responsibility of the role is to lead on the development of all revenue streams for the Football Club and will be the driving force behind the commercial arm of the Club. This will include maximising sales in area including, perimeter boards, match sponsorships & corporate hospitality.

The successful applicant will develop relationships and revenue streams with current commercial partners as well as secure new business.

You will be responsible for the commercial activities of Southport Football Club and be the primary contact person for all commercial activity connected with the Club.

MAIN DUTIES

1) To generate income for Southport Football Club through the sale of ground advertising.

2) To generate income for Southport Football Club through the sale of match day sponsorships.

3) To generate income for Southport Football Club through sales of corporate hospitality.

4) To ensure that relationships with all Commercial Partners of Southport FC are successfully maintained.

5) To undertake commercial activities as directed by the Chairman with a view to increasing revenue streams.

6) To prepare monthly written reports, on commercial activities and projections

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Minimum Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most, if not all, of the following qualities:

Skills

The ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

The ability to complete financial projection reports.

Good literacy and numeracy skills.

A knowledge of sales and marketing practices.

Computer Literate.

Innovative ideas associated with income generation on behalf of Southport Football Club.

Experience/Qualifications/Training.

Previous commercial experience.

Previous sales and marketing experience.

Previous IT experience.

Desirable

Prior experience in professional sports marketing/sales.

Car and full driving licence.

Work related circumstances

A flexible approach to working hours will be required.
