Job Title Community Development Officer (Part-Time)
Reports to Board of Directors
Hours Maximum 16 hours per week
Roles reporting to the job holder Coaches Full time, Coaches Casual and Volunteers
Salary Negotiable dependant on experience
Job Purpose To manage the Southport FC community development programme
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
To liaise with all identified partnership agencies with a view to promoting the community and outreach services and to identify opportunities to work with others not yet identified.

To manage the charitable foundation and trustees
Support the delivery of programmes funded both nationally and locally.
Assist in increasing participation for people within the community and with kehy demographics.
Coordinate and deliver a wide range of football programmes, events and festivals.

To actively work as part of the team to contribute to accomplish the club objectives.

To work with key partners across Southport o deliver a community outreach programme.

To develop new community partnerships to raise the profile of the Club and create sustainable community links.

To create a range of programmes for diverse communities across Southport located at the Club.

To manage coaches that are delivering within schools.

To manage holiday clubs.

To deliver girls wildcats programme.

To deliver the Grow the game funding.

To manage the match day mascot package and mascots on match days.

To manage Sporting Memories Programme.

To deliver health in Schools programme.

To complete any other duties as and when required by the Club.

Desirable Knowledge / Experience/ Skills
Essential Desirable
  • Graduate/ Graduate calibre
  • Must have relevant experience. This will include coaching within a sports development environment, experience of coaching and/or playing and project management skills.
  • Working within partnership and multi-agency programmes.

§  Working with young adults, primary and secondary school aged pupils.

§   Activity planning, project management and staff management

  • Knowledge of the structure and organisations within football BOTH nationally and locally.
  • Knowledge of partner organisations within Southport.

 

As this role involves direct access to young persons under the age of eighteen, within the context of the job or any subsequently related activities or responsibilities, the successful candidate will undergo a thorough screening process, which will include a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, to ensure their suitability for the role”
