We are pleased to announce that 18-year old Jack Bentley has agreed to sign a contract at Southport FC until the end of the season.
Jack becomes a part of the player pathway programme at the club and will be under the guidance of Academy Manager David Morgan and his staff.
He recently completed a 2 year spell at Tranmere Rovers FC in their college programme. Within that time, he regularly trained with the first team and played in various cup and pre-season games. He also had a long spell at Bootle FC last season and has spent the early part of this season at Cammell Lairds FC.
Jack, son of First-Team Manager Jim Bentley, is a defender and plays mainly at centre-half or right back.
