A well deserved point on the road for Southport.

A game that saw very few clear cut chances which could have gone either way as both sides went for the win on the dying stages.

Our first away league goal on the road since November 9th from Danny Lloyd after great work by Luke Burgess put him in gave Southport the lead in the 70th minute.

This was very quickly cancelled out in the 74th minute with the home side equalising through Yusifu Ceesay.

An entertaining afternoon and a good performance on the road with a goal to celebrate.
