EVENT | Professional Football Scouts Association

Southport FC are pleased to be hosting the Professional Football Scouts Association this summer as they present a two-day football scouting course.

If you’re looking to develop a career in football or enhance your knowledge of talent identification and recruitment, the course provides a unique chance to gain insight from some of the leading figures in the industry.

The sessions take place over two days on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 July at the Merseyrail Community Stadium, featuring extensive player and match analysis delivered by experienced tutors.

The course is from the PFSA’s Level 2 programme and modules studied on each day include:

  • Day one: talent indicators, how sporting talent is developed and maintained, the future of talent in football and creating talent ID programmes.
  • Day two: scouting protocols, video analysis, individual player reporting, player assessments and identifying strengths and weaknesses of a player.

The course has been delivered by the PFSA throughout the country at fully booked seminars, so secure your place now. The cost is £600 per delegate and can be booked on the PFSA website, where further details can also be found.

The course is open to prospective mens and ladies football scouting personnel. Clubs and governing bodies are now looking for people who possess accredited qualifications. If you aspire to join the growing group of professional football scouts, this is the ideal chance to gain the appropriate internationally recognised certification.

The PFSA are leading providers of talent identification in football training to both new and experienced football scouts with the largest professional scouting network in the country. They work to develop and execute new and exciting ways of highlighting talent and their portfolio of engaging football scouting courses have set a new benchmark in the industry.

The courses are endorsed by the some of game’s most prominent coaches, including Wales manager Ryan Giggs.

“The PFSA is a great resource for new and experienced football scouts,” he said. “The course is well-structured and covers all aspects of scouting. I have no hesitation in recommending the association for developing and delivering relevant scout sources.”
