Chorley Preview

Southport make the short trip to Chorley on Saturday for our first game in this season’s FA Cup. Kick Off is 3pm

Tickets are on sale HERE and coach travel is still available contact theyellowarmy1881@gmail.com or call Rich on 07871-827984 to secure a place.

If the game is drawn there will be a replay at The Pure Stadium on Tuesday evening.

We will be playing in our blue change kit.

We will then face the same opponents in a league fixture the following week at The Pure Stadium.

We are hoping a big following will take to the roads on Saturday to get behind the lads. The support has been fantastic this season and manager Liam Watson has spoken about how much he wants to reward that support with a win. With the exception of long term casualties Russ Benjamin and George Newell Liam is hoping to have the rest of the squad available for selection.

We have lost each game on the road by a single goal so far and it has been a frustrating start to the season but a cup win will provide the lift we are all looking for.

Chorley have been mightily impressive in the last two home games scoring 13 goals and they are bang in form. Former ‘Port player Adam Blakeman was on the scoresheet last weekend following his return to the club from Spennymoor but the goals are being shared out around the team.
