A reminder that Saturday is ground clean up day and we are looking for as many volunteers to come down as possible. The main area to clean will be the main stand seats so please bring a dry cloth with you when you come along.
We originally said 10am-3pm but as a number of people want to watch the National North Play Off Final between Boston and Altrincham we will finish at 2pm to give everyone the chance to get home. If you can come along for any period of time during these hours all help will be appreciated.
Access will be through gate 5 and everyone will need to use the hand sanitzer upon entry. The wearing of face coverings is advisable but not compulsory and please social distance at all times whilst in the ground.
We are extremely fortunate at Southport that we have a team of volunteers who commit over 40 hours weekly with weeding and painting etc.
We now need a working party on Saturday August 1st with the main tasks cleaning the seats and brushing down the terraces.
The ground will be open from 10am until 2pm and refreshments will be provided including Latham’s Pies, that should be enough to get anyone there!
Can anyone who wishes to volunteer contact email@example.com this is so we have contact details in line with current guidelines around social distancing.
We caught up by Zoom with our President, Sam Shrouder in part one of two interviews. Here Sam talks about how he started watching Southport and his time on the board.
In part two Sam will tell us about his Wembley memories and working with a number of managers. This will be available over the next few weeks.

Season Ticket Benefits
If you’d like any further details or have particular queries, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The club is currently in the process of planning a set of pre-season fixtures but with a start date for the new National League North campaign yet to be confirmed this is difficult for any club at the moment.
With the restrictions regarding Covid-19 evolving all the time, it remains to be seen whether our pre-season games will be played behind closed doors or how many, if any, can be held in public.
The club is in dialogue with the relevant authorities and other clubs as we look to finalise a full schedule so the players are ready for the new campaign when it begins. We will announce the games as they are confirmed with as much detail as possible.
Today we are pleased to announce away games against Witton Albion on Tuesday 11 August and Nantwich Town on Saturday 5 September. Further details about these fixtures will follow, including confirmation as to whether supporters can attend.
The club has a full pre-season of matches planned and will confirm the games once we have the agreement of our opponents.
The club have unearthed a number of brand new gold/black Kappa match shirts from the 2018/19 season, which carry the ‘me group’ sponsors logo.
We would be delighted to donate these shirts to a club/association/charity/school etc as a ‘job lot’. The sizes are as follows :-
Age 10 @ 7
Age 12 @ 3
Age 14 @ 1
Small adult @ 28
Medium adult @ 5
X Large adult @ 2
The shirts are available for collection from the ground.
Please e-mail your interest to the club’s kit manager Hamish Morton and type of organisation to email@example.com
