Trust In Yellow Ten-Year Awards
Southport fans are being asked to vote for their best player and favourite moments from the past decade as part of Trust in Yellow’s tenth anniversary celebrations.
The Trust will mark its tenth year with a special event after the home match against North Ferriby United next Saturday, January 21.
And the Trust is looking to recognise those who have made an impact during the past decade with a series of awards.
Fans are asked to vote for their Player, Game and Goal of the Decade, while also nominating their favourite moment and the best club they have visited.
Awards will also be given to the highest appearance-maker, top goalscorer and longest-serving manager during the last ten years, as well as an outstanding contribution award for services to the Trust.
Among the players to have represented Southport during the past decade are Carl Baker, Mark Duffy and Shaun Whalley, who have all gone on to enjoy Football League careers. The likes of Earl Davis and Kevin Lee endeared themselves closely to fans with their wholehearted performances, while Tony McMillan, Chris Lever and Tony Gray displayed great consistency.

Votes can be registered by text to 07475029052, e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, on the Trust’s twitter feed, facebook page or by visting the Trust office on Saturday.
The closing date for voting is Monday, January 16.
All fans are welcome to attend the Trust’s ten-year awards celebration which takes place next Saturday, January 21, at 5.30pm after the match against North Ferriby in the Grandstand Bar.
Trust members are currently being balloted to decide whether it should pursue initiatives to improve disabled facilities and look to develop a bar inside the Merseyrail Community Stadium. Members have until Friday to return their forms.
The Trust holds a members’ meeting next Wednesday, January 18, at 7.30pm in the Grandstand Bar. Liam Watson, the club’s operations director, will be in attendance to speak to members.
