Last night the Ladies completed their League fixtures with a game against Leigh RMI, which was switched at late notice from Leigh to Bedford Park, Birkdale. The Ladies put on a fantastic display to record a 8-1 victory. Aimee Cooper weighed in with a fantastic five goals, while Erin Woodhouse notched a brace and Alex Ferguson rounded off the scoring in what was a real team performance.

This win secured a mid-table finish for the Ladies (either 6th or 7th, depending on other results) in their first season in this league, which is very encouraging. It was a fantastic way to keep their current recent excellent run of form going - this was their sixth win in seven - and perfect preparation for the League Plate Final against Chorley.

The Final will be played at Airbus UK, Broughton, CH4 0DR, on Sunday 13th May, 12pm kick-off. All support would be greatly appreciated. The players and staff would like to thank all those who have supported the team throughout this season.
