Free Adults In Junior Football Workshop
Southport Football Club are hosting an Adults In Junior Football Workshop which will be delivered by Neil Yates, Lancashire FA County Welfare Officer.
It is free to anyone wishing to attend and will be held at the Ramada Hotel, starting at 7:30pm on Monday 23rd January 2017.
Daniel Hayes said “This event is open to coaches, parents and supporters of any of our youth teams or indeed anyone involved in junior football in the local area. If you have children within one of our youth teams or another local club we would strongly recommend that you attend.”
Community Director Haydn Preece added “ Southport FC are proud of being part of the Lancashire FA and the junior/youth leagues including the Craven Minor League. After all the recent junior football concerning publicity across the country it is important we all reinforce and support the dedication, time, efforts and skills that go into delivering junior football for girls and boys.”
This event is open to coaches, parents and supporters of any of our youth teams or indeed anyone involved in junior football in the local area.
If you have children within one of our youth teams or another local club we would strongly recommend that you attend. With an aim to reduce poor practice it examines the following issues:
- Why children play, and stop playing, football.
- Adults as positive role models to children and young people
- How children learn
- Giving children a voice in their football
- Family friendly environment
- The dangers of social media within football
No tickets are required, you can just turn up on the night, but if you are able to let us know in advance please do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org as it helps to get an idea of numbers for the venue.
