Commercial Update From David Broadbent

Commercial Update From David Broadbent

Following on from last month’s commercial update we have a further update.

Since our last home game against Stockport County we have welcomed Natalie Atkinson to the Club as CEO. We have already met with several of the Club’s key partners and will be meeting more over the next week or two so that Natalie can meet our valued sponsors and talk about the collective vision we have for taking the football club forwards.

We have also met with some potential new club sponsors as Southport Football Club look to re-engage with the businesses of the town. Indeed one of these potential new partners contacted the Club wanting to be a part of the journey and the potential growth of the Club over the coming years.

We have made progress around next season’s kit, and this is something that we will be looking to share very soon with supporters. We have also produced some superb new commercial brochures which I would like to thank Wright Angle Marketing and Karbon Kopy for all their help and assistance with. We are proud of these new brochures and are very much looking forward to sharing them with the businesses of Southport and beyond. Should you want to get your hands on a copy then please do get in touch.

One of the things we are looking to do is to establish a calendar of events here at the football club. This calendar will see a range of events, some designed for corporate days and nights out and other designed with supporters in mind. Confirmed so far we have the Comedy Bingo Night, The Lee Sharpe Sporting Dinner and a Murder Mystery Night. We are also about to confirm a Golf Day and are working on a race trip and Gin festival amongst other things. We are very much open to ideas and suggestions for events that you would like to see, so please get in touch if you have any suggestions.

For next season we will also be looking to enhance our retail and merchandise offerings at the Club, so again, if you have any suggestions of merchandise that you would like us to look into then please don’t hesitate to suggest. We want to get the Southport FC name and badge out into the community so any suggestions are more than welcome.

This is an exciting journey for the football club and we would welcome as many businesses who want to join us. If you would like to arrange a meeting where we can share the vision and how you can be involved through partnership and sponsorship then please do not hesitate to contact us, we’ll even get the coffee!
