SOUTHPORT AND WREXHAM AGREE ON SUPER SETANTA SHIELD DEAL Thursday, November 27, 2008 (66 reads)
Southport and Wrexham have agreed on a great deal for both sets of supporters. Entrance for the Setanta Shield tie on Tuesday December 9th will be £8 adults, £5 senior citizens and young persons(16-21) with under 16's paying just £3. Southport supporters will be admitted through turnstiles 1-4.
Chief Executive Haydn Preece said "Our Secretary Ken Hilton has been communicating closely with his Wrexham colleague. We are delighted that the two clubs came to an agreement to attract supporters so close to Christmas. We were eager to see a reduction from Wrexham's regular Blue Square admission. Wrexham have six home matches in quick succession and on our part Wrexham's Blue Square Premier prices reflect the club's league status up to last summer. This is a very exciting and attractive match for us and with the agreed prices hopefully our supporters can enjoy a mid week Setanta Shield tie at the Racecouse Ground which we have not been to for a very long time." |
